ReBoost

ReBoost is a Windows maintenance program that works like an automated computer technician. It checks your computer, works out what needs attention, safely repairs the Windows problems it can fix, cleans unnecessary files, applies maintenance where the evidence supports it, checks that its work actually helped, and explains everything in plain language. It follows one rule, always: Diagnose first. Fix second. Verify third. Explain everything. It is not a "PC booster": it never claims your computer became faster without evidence, never disables security software, and never deletes your documents, photos, bookmarks, saved passwords or cookies. It sends no information about you or your computer anywhere. ReBoost is designed from the start for the keyboard alone and for screen readers such as NVDA. ReBoost is independent software, not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.

Check My PC: a full read-only check of storage, Windows, updates, drivers, network, security, services, startup and more
Fix My PC: one administrator prompt, then repairs, cleaning, maintenance and verification by itself
Windows repair tools (component store scan and repair, System File Check) only when real damage is found
Safe cleanup of temporary files and caches (files in use are skipped)
Drive maintenance by drive type: trim for SSDs, defragmentation only for spinning disks

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Administrator permission is asked only for repairs and drive maintenance.

1. Download the zip and extract the ReBoost folder anywhere (Documents, Desktop or a USB stick). 2. Open the folder and run ReBoost.exe. No installation is needed. 3. Read HOW_TO_USE.txt in the folder for the full guide. 4. Updates install by themselves: ReBoost checks filtalk.org when it starts, or use Help, Check for updates.
